Canadian champion Jerzy Szemplinski has withdrawn from the competition for health reasons. The good news is that this isn't the first episode, and he knew exactly what to do, which, unfortunately for all of us, is to go home for treatment. He and Maria are already on their way back to Canada.
Jerzy, who probably has more time in Jantars than any other pilot in North America, is the defending PAGC Champion, and until today was a popular favorite for winning again.
We wish Jerzy and Maria safe travels home, and we look forward to seeing them at the Pribram WGC next year.
